FAQ
  • Is electrolysis really permanent?
  • Rina
Yes. Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method for permanent hair removal. It works by destroying the hair follicle at the root, preventing future hair growth — for good.
  • How many sessions will I need?
  • Rina
It depends on the area being treated, your hair growth cycle, and hormonal factors. Most clients require multiple sessions spaced several weeks apart. A personalized treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation.
  • Is it painful?
  • Rina
Most clients describe the sensation as a mild stinging or pricking feeling. Discomfort levels vary depending on your sensitivity and the area being treated. I use professional techniques to keep the experience as comfortable as possible, and topical numbing can be applied if needed.
  • What areas can be treated?
  • Rina
Electrolysis can safely and effectively treat any part of the body, including: face (chin, upper lip, eyebrows), underarms, bikini & brazilian area, arms & legs, fingers, toes, back, and more. Unlike laser, it’s effective on all skin tones and all hair colors.
  • What’s the difference between electrolysis and laser hair removal?
  • Rina
Laser targets pigment and is most effective on dark hair and light skin. It’s considered a reduction method, not permanent for everyone. Electrolysis treats each hair follicle individually, regardless of color or skin tone — and is permanent.
  • Are there any side effects?
  • Rina
Mild redness or slight swelling may occur right after treatment, which typically subsides within a few hours. All procedures are performed under sterile conditions following strict protocols to minimize any risks.
  • Is electrolysis safe for sensitive areas like the face or bikini?
  • Rina
Absolutely. Electrolysis is safe and effective for even the most delicate areas. With proper technique and sterile equipment, it’s a trusted solution for facial and intimate zones.
  • Can I do electrolysis if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
  • Rina
Electrolysis is generally considered safe during pregnancy, especially in non-abdominal areas. However, I recommend consulting with your doctor first. During your consultation, we’ll also review your health history to ensure it’s appropriate for you.
  • Do you offer consultations before starting treatment?
  • Rina
Yes, I offer a free consultation where we’ll review your goals, medical history, and create a tailored treatment plan based on your skin and hair type.
  • What should I do before and after my session?
  • Rina
    Before:
    • Avoid caffeine or alcohol 24 hours before your session
    • Don’t tweeze or wax the area (shaving is fine)
    • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin (for facial areas)
    After:
    • Avoid sun exposure and hot baths for 24–48 hours
    • Apply a calming antiseptic or aloe gel
    • Do not touch or scratch the area
